Creating a Vehicle in Cigo Tracker

To navigate to the “Vehicle” page, go to the Left Menu Panel > Organization > Vehicles.

*IMPORTANT*

In order to create a vehicle in Cigo, you must first create at least ONE location.

  • A vehicle requires a “Start” and “End” location for accurate time frames.

  • If you have not yet created a location, see Using the Locations Page.

Setting Up the Vehicles

To add a vehicle in Cigo. Once on the Vehicles Page, go to the top right and click the green + Add Vehiclebutton:

Once on the “Add a New Vehicle” page, just follow the steps below to start creating your Vehicle:

Name (Mandatory)

Input the name your team uses to identify the vehicle for easy reference within Cigo Tracker.

Departure Time (Mandatory)

A departure time is important for ETA’s and operator reporting. This can be changed at any time during route building, but you can set a default here.

Start From (Mandatory)

For a streamlined vehicle setup, the ‘Start From’ field will display a dropdown of all the locations you’ve created, allowing you to easily specify the commencement point for your vehicle’s route within the Cigo Tracker system.

Return To (Mandatory)

In the ‘Return To’ field, select the destination point from the dropdown list featuring your established locations, ensuring your vehicle’s journey is well-defined within the Cigo Tracker platform for precise end-of-route planning.

Licence Plate (Optional)

Optionally, input the vehicle’s license plate number in the designated field to enhance vehicle identification within the system.

Vehicle ID (Optional)

Enter the vehicle’s reference ID from any external system, if available, to link it with your Cigo Tracker profile for unified tracking.

Define a weight capacity for each vehicle to aid in dispatch decisions and routing efficiency, by entering the limit in the provided field.

Enter the vehicle’s maximum volume capacity, if applicable, to assist in the dispatch and routing process.

Capacity Buffer % (Optional)

Specify the vehicle’s maximum volume capacity to facilitate optimal dispatch and route planning.

Saving Changes

After entering all necessary information, click the 'Save' button located at the bottom right of the page to finalize your vehicle's profile.
