Getting familiar with our new login portal, and things to come

Hello everyone,

We're excited to announce the launch of our new login page, designed to enhance security and user experience on the Cigo Tracker platform.

Here's what you need to know about this update:

Why the New Login Portal?

The new login portal introduces several key improvements:

  • Email Verification: Web users can now verify their email addresses, ensuring secure account access.

  • Password Reset: Verified users can easily reset their passwords directly from the new login portal, providing a smoother recovery process.

What's Next?

In the coming weeks, we'll be rolling out an additional security feature:

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Administrative users will soon be able to configure email-based 2FA, adding an extra layer of security for all user accounts.

Flexibility for Future Development

This update paves the way for future enhancements:

  • Custom Password Rules: Companies will be able to define custom password policies and enforce periodic password resets.

  • Additional MFA Methods: Support for authenticator apps with rolling codes will be introduced.

  • Expanded Login Options: We plan to add Single Sign-On (SSO) options such as OIDC, SAML 2.0, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Entra ID based on user demand and priority.


Verification Banner

After logging in, you'll see a new verification banner appear. If the email you used to log in is not a real email, you can dismiss the verification banner by clicking the "x" on the right side of the banner.

Please note that if your email is not verified, you won't be able to access the new "Forgot Password" feature to reset your password yourself. Verifying your email is required to use this feature.


Troubleshooting Login Issues

If you or your users experience issues with the new login portal, try clearing your browser's cookies specifically for: cigotracker.com
